Signs of movement

Bird.Butterfly.Transformation.

Birds and butterflies return throughout Savera’s work as signs of movement, transformation and the spiritual life she finds in nature.

A typed sheet inherited from her grandfather, who was a lawyer, meets an Urdu book page, vintage music paper and new stitching. Savera’s own training in law quietly crosses that earlier generation. The book becomes a meeting place for languages, family memory and the pull of the divine. Its richness is intentional: no single fragment is asked to carry the story alone.

Its tall skinny form begins with an A4 sheet folded lengthwise. The unusual proportion makes the reader travel vertically, echoing the flight and upward movement repeated across its pages.
